Let me introduce myself. I would like you, the hard working taxpayers who are financially supporting our Saint Paul Public Schools, to know more about me.. I am a Saint Paul guy. I am the son of hard working parents, who have been educated in St Paul Public schools. I am a 1960 graduate of Saint Paul’s Central High School, married to my wife Mary for 35 years. We have six children all of whom attended public school, twelve grandchildren, many of them are now attending our St. Paul Public schools. I have a personal vested interest in our community and its schools. Not only am I a Saint Paul native, I am also a former small business owner and have since had a successful career in residential real estate for the past 35 years. I am currently with Coldwell Banker Burnet Crocus Hill office as an Executive Sales Associate. A key factor in helping people find the best home and neighborhood is the quality of our schools. Saint Paul schools are a critical point when attracting new homeowners to the city. In 2004, I was named Realtor of the Year by the St. Paul Association of REALTORS®, a very proud and humbling experience. Every aspect of my professional leadership has been focused on making the changes that need to be made. Whether it is the Board of Appeals and Equalization, where taxpayers feel their taxes are unjust, the Landmark Center Volunteer Association, or my career. I call issues as I see them based on my persepctive of a concerned taxpayer, a civic leader, and an experienced professional. I have been able to make a difference.
